These are my pictures for the Lime Crime Snow White MakeUp Look Contest on Facebook. I know my hair is red and so therefore not quite right for Snow White, but I wanted to show my support for Lime Crime. Xenia was a super generous makeup sponsor for Frill, and so I thought making an entry would be a small show of gratitude. I in no way expect to win. I don’t usually do crazy makeup pictures like this because I don’t feel that my face is really suited for it. ^^;;;

Last year, I saw a couple of pieces by this artist at the Aspen summer art show. They were truly stunning in person, and they carried all the more impact for being fairly large in scale. I left the show wishing I could shell out the cash for one right at that moment. I would still very much like to have some of his work. One day, in the magical future…

This is a sneak-peak of the outfit I’ll be wearing for Frill. I made the bolero as an experiment, and I’m pretty pleased with it. Since I made it out of some small bits of fabric I had laying around, the price-tag was right! I decided to add the tassel trim to lend a Dolly-kei vibe, and I feel like it looks cute… but I’m not sure.

Last night, I had another Frill meeting, and I wore my “ugly skirt”. I made this skirt a few years ago for the “Unconventional Fabric Skirt Contest” on the Sew Loli Livejournal Community , which I won. The fabric is really kind of ugly, but somehow, it’s kind of awesome anyway. I like that it has weird birds in it.
